64 Quiltart members participated in this exchange. Each participant bought a deck of playing cards complete with two jokers for a total of 54 cards.

Each participant was free to alter the cards using fabric and at least two other things or techniques. Some participants made all the cards alike. Other made series of cards that were the same or similar. Some participants chose to experiment and do different things to each card.

When the decks were completed the participants sent them to the facilitator, Kay Koeper Sorensen.

Kay dealt out the cards so each participant would get a set of 54 cards back. Each of the 54 cards was made by a different person. One deck was then returned to each participant.
