This quilt started as a guild challenge to make one vegetable block per month for a year and put them together into a quilt.

I chose to do veggie dishes, which led to the need for an entire table with utensils and garnishes, which led to the view out my kitchen window to the garden where all the vegetableS came from.

I couldn't do all that without putting myself smack into the middle, so there I am, doing what mothers do best...serving up platefuls.
