In June 2004, I was visiting my friend Debbie. As I walked up the stone path in her garden, I noticed a tiny butterfly wing on the ground. A victim of the neighbor's cat perhaps?

I took the wing home and knew I had to turn it into a quilt. I scanned it into my computer, enlarged it, printed it out, and used the pages as a foundation-based pattern.

All of my works are a reflection of the beautfy of my environment in northwest Colorado.
