I’m honored to have been invited by Studio Art Quilt Associates (SAQA) to speak on an artist panel at SAQA’s symposium on May 23 during Quilt National ’15 opening weekend at the Dairy Barn Arts Center in Athens, Ohio. Moderated by Patricia Kennedy-Zafred, the panel will be a diverse mix of artists featuring Inge Hueber, Kathleen Loomis, and Judith Plotner.
At the same time, I’m excited I’ll finally be able to show my quilt “London – Wish You Were Hair” that is part of Quilt National ’15, the 19th biennial juried exhibition of innovative art quilts at the Dairy Barn. The exhibition will be open to the public May 23th through September 7, 2015. The eclectic collection 86 innovative quilts, never before shown artworks represent the work of talented fiber artists from 33 states and 8 foreign countries.
More than 6,000 visitors are expected from all over the world to see Quilt National ‘15. After Athens, parts of the collection will travel to museums and galleries throughout the country until late 2017.
