Look for my quilts at the Houston International Quilt Festival Oct. 31-Nov. 3, 2013 in the special exhibition “People and Portraits” sponsored by The American Quilters Society, Lark Crafts, and the National Quilt Museum in conjunction with the book by Martha Seilman.
This invitational exhibit of work by an international array of artists is based on the book Art Quilt Portfolio: People and Portraits by Martha Seilman, and celebrates the expressiveness of the human face. Designs focus on a variety of both emotional states and ways in which people interact in contemplation, joy, community, work, and play.
My quilts Towers of Babble and St. Louis – Wish You Were Hair will be part of the Houston exhibition, then travel for another two years to other festivals and venues.
