My sewing table is made from countertops that I got at a grocery store auction when I bought the whole floral and video department.
I took the counters apart and put the tops on old tables from a preschool classroom, which made a work surface that was just my height. Another part of counter top is cut out for my Bernina to slide into, creating a big flat quilting surface. If I'm not quilting, I take that section off for a bigger work surface.
There's work in progress on the design wall behind Madeline the mannequin, and beyond the folding doors is the other half of the room where I collect junk, paint, and dye.
Sometimes it's kind of spooky working late at night in a big old warehouse, but I have Madeline, Maude, and few other assorted foam creatures to keep me company.
