This quilt is based on a drawing done by Aubry Kae Andersen. Aubry's work was inspired by Yoshitaka Amano's fabulous illustrations who, in turn, is somewhat inspired by Gustav Klimpt.

Aubry painted the faces and the warrior's armor on silk.

Charlotte, her mother, then digitized embroidery motifs and embroidered them on silk and joined all together with fusible thread finished by satin stitching over the raw edges.

The scene is an illustration for a sci-fi novel that Aubry is writing.
